Building a bridge towards integration that lasts
Since 2025, Association Afrique de l’Est et ses amis has supported families from Somalia, Somaliland, Ethiopia, Sudan, Eritrea and Djibouti as they settle in Strasbourg.
Our story & our mission
Settling in a new country is a long road, blocked at every turn by paperwork, language and isolation. The association was founded in 2025 out of that observation.
One conviction underpins everything we do: integration holds when people learn the language, when children succeed at school, when parents become financially independent, and when official procedures stop being a wall.
— Ismael Ali Moussa, President
